Who we are
From a large agency to small private practices, Desiree has experience working with a wide range of individuals, including children, adolescents, families, and individual adults. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she values witnessing the lives of those and other marginalized groups and is honored to be able to support and advocate for those individuals.
While working in community mental health Desiree routinely addressed parenting issues, disrupted placements, family conflict, behavioral problems, ADHD, problematic sexual behavior, trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, religious trauma, suicidal thoughts and self injury behaviors.
In group practice Desiree’s focus expanded to include more issues relevant to the daily lives many adults and adolescents experience such as difficulty boundary setting, communicating, infidelity, grief, life transition, relationship issues, and self-esteem.
Outside of the office you might find Desiree at the dog park, watching trashy TV, or engaged in a household DIY project we probably should have paid someone to do.
